DESCRIPTION

The Ayat Al-Kursi provides the ultimate protection, featured in the second chapter of the Holy Qur’an, Surat al-Baqarah is considered by many as one of the most sublime, majestic and powerful examples of Qur’anic prose.  Described by the Prophet (pbuh) as the greatest verse. Anyone reciting it is protected from all evil from dawn till dusk. 

To depict its true splendour, the artist chose a universal Kufic script given its geometric square / rectangular design which gives off a strong character. The original artwork contained a concrete and marble background with stone white covering the calligraph

Ayat Al-Kursi (Arabic: آية الكرسي 'āyat ul-kursi) often known in English as The Throne Verse is the 255th verse of the 2nd surah of the Quran, Al-Baqarah. 

Translation

Allah – there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great
